2025 Organizational Meeting
OFFICIAL CALL
DOUGLAS COUNTY REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Douglas County Republican Central Committee shall meet on Monday, the 3rd day of February, 2025 to begin promptly at 6:00 P.M., at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Event Center, 500 Fairgrounds Dr., Castle Rock, Colorado.
Credentialing shall begin at 5:00 P.M.
The purpose of this meeting shall be to:
Elect the Chairman, First Vice-Chairman, Second Vice-Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee.
Elect Douglas County Republican District Captains.
Elect bonus members to the Colorado Republican Central Committee, the 23rd Judicial District Central Committee, and the 4th Congressional Central Committee.
Consider and vote on amendments to the Bylaws of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee.
Conducting such other business as may properly come before it.
House and Senate district organizational meetings will be held promptly after the conclusion of the County Organizational meeting.
Those eligible to vote for party officers, bonus members, and on other matters are the voting members of the DCR: Douglas County Republican elected officers, Douglas County Republican District Captains, Douglas County Republican Precinct Committee People, and certain Republican elected officials who reside in Douglas County.Under the DCR Bylaws, voting by proxy is not allowed.
Under the Bylaws of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee, subject to the requirements that no person can hold more than one elected DCR office at a given time and that no elected official can be an elected DCR officer, persons eligible to run for the offices of chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, treasurer, district captain, or bonus member must (1) be residents of Douglas County, and (2) be registered to vote as Republicans in Douglas County, pursuant to state statutes. The Bylaws do not require that such persons presently be voting members of the DCR.
Those eligible to vote for district captain are those voting members of the DCR who reside in that district. Persons eligible to run for the office of district captain must (1) be residents of the district for which they seek to be captains, and (2) be registered to vote as Republicans in Douglas County, pursuant to state statutes.
Those running for Officer positions who wish to have their name pre-printed on the ballot should email their name, and address to Kim Baer (Secretary) at secretary@dcgop.org by January 25th, 2025.
Those running for bonus member who wish to have their name pre-printed on the ballot should email their name, address, and the committees for which they wish to be candidates for bonus member (State, JD23, CD4) to bonuscandidates@dcgop.org by January 25th, 2025.
Persons who wish to run for any DCR office, district captain, or bonus member to any Committee and who are not voting members of the DCR may be required to present proof of residence and Republican registration at the meeting.
This Official Call is issued pursuant to Section 4 of Article IX of the Bylaws of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee.
